Directions from Malaga Airport

Everyone seems to find the villa easily...except us…its the first few kilometres from the airport that are tricky. Don’t panic, if in any doubt head for the motorway to Torremolinos and Marbella and take the San Pedro exit (junction 172) and then the A397 straight to Ronda. Stay on the Seville road when you get to Ronda and then take a right at the third roundabout under the overpass and onto the Campillos road, first left onto the MA7400 towards Arriate and follow the last bit of the main instructions below.

Directions from Malaga Airport Main Instructions

On leaving the airport head for MALAGA / CADIZ

After less than 1k follow N340 MALAGA (San Miguel Brewery on your right)

Over flyover signed MALAGA….. you go round in almost a complete circle.

About another 1k join dual carriageway MA21 SEVILLA/GRANADA (past MAKRO on left, then El Corte Ingles also on left)

Under bridge, past Campanile on left

Follow PALACIO DE FERIAS E15 / A7 … this appears as a smallish yellow box on usual motorway sign

Over bridge and round to left

Join E15/A7 SEVILLA / CORDOBA/GRANADA (IBIS hotel on right)

Head for A357 CARTAMA / UNIVERSIDAD…keep in right lane

Another 2k, past silvery ultra modern University building on left

Stay left in slip lane to CARTAMA

(hard work is now over!!)

Follow A357 towards CAMPILLOS but take A367 to TEBA / RONDA before Campillos

Just before you enter Ronda take right turn to ARRIATE on MA7400 (if you overshoot you’ll get to complicated roundabout about 200 metres past the ‘missed’ turn …it’ll be your first roundabout for ages and just come back on the CAMPILLOS road

Back to the MA7400 to Arriate…you go past the tennis club and some depressing light engineering works …after about 2k take a left…the road widens to create a short left turn lane...there’s a blue sign for El ESPEJO…over a railway bridge with new concrete walls

Another 2k, past a pink villa with multicoloured roof tiles you go over another much smaller bridge with similar concrete walls

Sttraight ahead is the black gate to FINCA LA AMAPOLA…go LEFT of this gate/walls down the hill…its now single track and worth going slowly for road bumps and hollows as well as narrow.

When you get to a T junction go left…past the riding stables on your right...tarmac stops and its now a dirt track...another 200 metres and the back entrance to El Noque will be on your left…black metal gates…just past a totally unnecessary 20 kph sign.

WELCOME to El Noque…congratulations!!

Alternative Airports

If you come from Jerez, Sevilla or even Gibraltar you want to head for Ronda on the A397 from the south, the A374 from the north…..skirt around Ronda on the Sevilla/Marbella ring road and take the A367 road to CAMPILLOS at a roundabout and then a quick left onto the MA7400 towards ARRIATE and follow the main instructions.

Guest Book

“This house is heaven on earth – Oh, how we will miss it. We loved it so much that we changed our plans to stay for one extra night. Thank you for making such a beautiful home and letting us share it – every square inch is perfection”.

“I wish I didn’t have to leave. It was perfect. The pool was great – we loved the hammocks. We want to come back as soon as possible”.

“The lavender sweep: the splash of the pool: the sun makes you smile, the shade keeps you cool; kindness of hosts, the light through the grass; food on the table, the wine in the glass; coolth of the house, the warmth of the staff; pop of a cork, the hoot of a laugh; quiet of friendships, some old and some new; noise of a party, the swallows, the view; gold checkered valley, the blue distant mountains; ant on the cobble, the burbling fountains; pointing of poplars, fragments of art; magic El Noque has entered my heart”.
